| The white stole I ordered far exceeds my expectations. It is truly a gorgeous work of art that I know my friend will love. I can't wait to give it to her at her seminary graduation party. I know she will be wearing it when she marries her daughter next year. God has given you an amazing talent. I am so glad I found your web site. |

I just received an ordinary time stole as an ordination gift. I have worked with textiles for most of my lifetime, sometimes billing myself as a fiber artist. I thought I had searched out all of the stoles available for sale; I had found none compelling enough to buy or even request for my congregation.
Then this! Ah! Jan's work is evocative and inviting. My stole "reads" well from a distance, but close examination is worth the time, as the layers of meaning abound. The style finds a unique and much-needed middle ground between formal tapestries and folk weavings and designs. It does not steal the show--in short, it is clear that the designer understands that the role of vested worshipers is to evoke, invite, create sacred space and time rather than drawing needless attention to themselves and their finery. Jan's work will help me work out my calling better, and for that I am grateful. (And I should say that I am also grateful for a generous brother who knows enough about what worship is and who I am to find this exquisite stole!) Thanks, indeed, be to God. |

| Blessing on you . . . the stole arrived last week while I was out for a few days at a conference . . . IT IS THE MOST INCREDIBLY WONDERFUL, ARTISTIC CREATION I HAVE EVER SEEN. I am so honored to be wearing the labors of your creativity. Your work stands way apart from the field. Although many persons and companies produce liturgical vestments, that work, for the most part is bland, static, and lacking imagination. Your work embodies the vitality and creativity that is our faith. Your bold use of symbols that specifically relate to my ministry in Music bring me in touch with my deepest gratitude for your willingness to create for me. THANK YOU , THANK YOU, THANK YOU |

Dear Jan; The reversible stole we ordered has arrived and is lovely - looks even better in real life than in the pictures. The blend of color, texture, abstraction and symbolism in your design is powerful and exceptionally well-suited to religious vestments. Ellen is delighted and it fits her perfectly.

| The stole has arrived. Needless to say, I am delighted with your work. The stole is a perfect fit. It sits smoothly over my shoulders and comes to about an inchor two below my knees. This is a perfect length, as it doesn't overpower me as longer ones seem to do. |

Peace to you in these troubled times,

A note written to my son: “My church wanted to purchase a stole for someone's ordination, and I suggested your mom. The stole she made was so intricate with deep, deep greens--when it was presented during the service, there was a collective murmur from the congregation--everyone thought it was so beautiful.”

| Hi Jan, I have read about you and I love the way you use your creative talents to share Gods word and spirit with all of Gods people. I would like to know if I could have your single sided gold/white stole shipped to me as soon as possible? I’m to be Ordained on March 13th and would love to have your beautiful stole. The stole not only speaks to me of God but also represents who I have become as well. I would be very pleased and honored to wear your stole for Ordination. |

| I
was struck by the various textures,
the incorporation of words from scripture,
vibrant colours that related to the
scripture and the fact that the stole
is completely reversible making it
usable for more than one liturgical
season. The Pentecost images are
ones that evoke excitement, energy
and enthusiasm. The green on the
reverse side depicts a rich calmness. |
